Townhouses, 1350m2 - Ongoing.
Attached Detached is a series of townhouses investigating the social aspect of proximity. While traditional townhouses expresses spatial and structural arrangement of sharing a wall, this project amplifies scale and individuality through adaptation of the private wall.
The building volume adapts to the context through the façade geometry and color scheme, ie each townhouse unit has a scale that is on par with surrounding settlements. This also creates recognition and identity for the residents.
Each townhouse has 2 floors, ground floor and upper floor of approximately 110m2. Kitchen and common areas are on the ground floor and 3 bedrooms on the upper level. The angle of the private wall makes a place under roof at either entrance or garden side. The masterbedrooms on the upper floor have access to a terrace. The building consists of two types of dwelling units, in which the different orientation of the rooms varies slightly.
